SAPV for Nursing Services
Our aim is to work with you to meet patients’ wishes to spend their final days at home in a comfortable setting, surrounded by loved ones. By combining SAPV care and nursing services, patients with even the most severe symptoms can be treated at home. Routine nursing care and treatment is provided by nursing services, while our team supports patients and relatives with advice and guidance on symptom treatment as well as the coordination of required services. We can prescribe needed medical aids, bandages or medications. SAPV home care is usually prescribed by the patient’s family doctor.
As a nurse that visits the patient regularly, your feedback on special situations or developing symptoms are very important to us. This information enables us to rapidly adapt medications or carry out crisis interventions.
In patients with advanced disease, palliative wound care becomes more symptom oriented. Our goal at this stage focuses on relieving suffering, rather than curative treatment.
In cases where nursing care generates pain, pain medications must be given ahead of time. Our 24-hour call number is available for assistance.
We are always ready to answer any questions you may have on wound care, nutrition, medication, micro storage and all other palliative care concerns.
